Crowther Associates Architects, working with I-Kew services, have provided RIBA stage 4& 5 architectural services for the redevelopment of the Buxshalls estate, located to the North of Lindfield in East Sussex. The development is a mix of new build and refurbished units, all surrounding the existing Buxshalls Manor House. This development of 27 houses and 10 flats/maisonettes is set within the rural landscape which is enhanced with additional native tree and hedgerow planting.
This residential scheme required a large amount of Stage 3&4 design and technical development, beyond the planning stage, to suit the condition and constraints of the existing buildings, and the existing site topography.
Some areas of the project are already competed and handed over, with the conversion work to the manor house ongoing and due for completion in early 2024
