Jempson’s are an independent, family run supermarket operator whose flagship store is located in Peasmarsh, East Sussex. Constructed in 2002, Gary Thompson was in charge of the scheme and remains a consultant to Jempson’s on this and their various other stores and coffee shops with involvement from the initial strategy and planning through to site works.
The building replaced an existing store which had become obsolete and the design was given the honour of featuring in Rother District Council’s design guide as an exemplar project. Jempson’s remain in occupation and continue to operate this successful and well received store.
